Where to schedule your test?
Travel from Colombia
When you travel to a international destination from Colombia and you need a PCR or antigen testYou can make an appointment with SynLab Colombiato take your test through Drive Thru or to address and have your result in 24 hours for Bogotá or at most 36 hours for the rest of the cities. This laboratory is present in the main cities of Colombia: Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Santa Marta and Manizales.
If you buy a ticket in any size you get up to 16% discount on the PCR test or up to 10% discount on the COVID-19 antigen test.

- From1 December 2021, Avianca passengers who purchase tickets in all sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL) or have tickets redeemed with miles, will be able to access the following benefit offered by SynLab: COVID (i) PCR test at a 28% discount on the regular price or (ii) Antigens at a 13% discount on the regular price (the "Discount"). In this case, payment must be made through the means of payment enabled by SynLab. The passenger must make his/her appointment heretaking into account the validity time of the test required in the country of destination.
- It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to verify the policies of the transit and/or destination countries regarding the validity of COVID-19 diagnostic tests. Neither Avianca nor SynLab shall be responsible for such verification, policies and/or validity or acceptance of COVID-19 diagnostic tests performed by SynLab in the respective countries of transit and/or destination.
- In order to access the Test or Discount, passengers must show the respective Avianca ticket purchase confirmation email along with their identification document to the SynLab staff at the time of the test.
- Both the Test and the Discount offered are personal and non-transferable, so they can only be used by passengers who have purchased Avianca tickets under these terms and conditions.
- SynLab Colombia S.A.S. has the respective sanitary registration for the commercialisation of COVID-19 diagnostic tests. It also has the authorisations of the governmental bodies for the performance of this type of tests.
- SynLab issues the results of the COVID-19 diagnostic tests, (i) approximately 24 hours after sample collection for passengers in Bogotá; or (ii) between 24 and 36 hours for travellers in other cities in Colombia. Bearing in mind that the delivery times for results are estimated and not guaranteed, we suggest that passengers consider this circumstance in order to avoid affecting their travel plans.
- The tests take place exclusively at the indicated SynLab locations. here. Communication in connection with the tests, the test results and the data resulting from the tests are exclusively between SynLab and the passenger. In case of a positive test result, the passenger must refrain from boarding the respective flight in accordance with the applicable health regulations.
- SynLab is solely responsible for the fulfillment of this benefit, acting in a totally separate and independent manner from Avianca vis-à-vis the users of the service, without any liability on the part of Avianca or its affiliates or subsidiaries. Please note that, at the moment of accepting this benefit (the Trial or the Discount, as applicable), a totally independent contractual relationship arises between the passenger and SynLab, who will act as the exclusive provider of the service. Avianca is not a party to this contractual relationship between the passenger and SynLab. Consequently, SynLab will be solely responsible for ensuring the quality, suitability and safety of the service.
- Avianca (as well as any other allied company) may unilaterally eliminate, modify, suspend or terminate this benefit (both the Trial and the Discount) unilaterally, for any reason and at any time.
